Sasha Cohen will be lighting up the ice again with the 2009 Season tour of Stars on Ice. 

For her showpiece program, Moonlight Sonata, Sasha performs in a Jan Longmire creation designed to present beautiful skating framed by absolute simplicity. Sasha wanted dark colors with a hint of subtle shading which would be almost undetectable under show lights. Since Stars on Ice is known for dazzling costumes, and Sasha is always expected to hit the ice in 
a mesmerizing blur of glitter, the Moonlight dress, with its single crystal ornament, is designed to intrigue the audience and direct all attention to an elegant program presented by a serious athlete and artist. In its simplicity, this costume enhances Sasha Cohen’s exquisite performance which extends far beyond the dimensions of entertainment.

Sasha Cohen recently toured South Korea and Japan performing with a cast of international champions. Her solo costumes, designed by Jan Longmire, included one of her favorite pieces, a light tan dress covered entirely with thousands of beads, sequins, and crystals in swirling patterns.

Sasha and Jan are working on exciting new costumes for her upcoming season of televised performances and the 2009 tour of Stars on Ice.

Alyssa-Marie Pereslete, shown here doing a beautiful catch spin, completed a successful competition in Switzerland, wearing a sophisticated black and turquoise Jan Longmire design, which was inspired by Pereslete’s program music.

Musical theme is the fundamental inspiration for Jan when approaching all designs for skaters. Pereslete has chosen Jan Longmire to be her costumer for previous competitions for this very reason, and will be performing in two stunning JL designs for the remainder of this season.
